Cora's 4th birthday was Thursday, June 16th. We had planned to have a party with her little friends on that very day in the backyard. It was supposed to be a fun outdoor birthday party much like last year's, with a little pool near the sand area and lots of sprinklers going since it is usually so hot. Mother Nature decided however that it should rain and be chilly and we were stuck with a bunch of little kids inside our little house instead! It turned out fine, the kids seemed to have a good time, there was lots of food, toys to play with, a craft to do, the kids even went out to the garage to play with sidewalk chalk, and of course Cora's favorite part: there was cake! Gathered around the cake are Emily, Jacklyn, Isaac, Cora, Kenzie, and Grant. I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures at the party, I wish I could have gotten a group shot of Cora with her guests. In the aftermath I got the picture of Cora in her new princess dress and accesories that were gifts from Natalie and Amanda.

Dana and Uncle Marty made it up for Cora's birthday party and were able to stay an additional day. Cora & Olivia had so much fun with Dana around, it was very cute to see the cousins playing together. The weather improved on June 17th and we were able to spend some time playing in the backyard, despite a few sprinkles. We even got to enjoy the new deck that Aunt CC built.

On June 18th Grandma Julie & Grandpa George were able to visit and we were treated to even better weather, a nice sunny day with pleasantly warm temperatures. A little fairy appeared in our yard that day, a very sweet fairy who delighted in running about the yard, she too had just turned 4 years old! Olivia had a great time with the sidewalk chalk managing to color herself quite a bit. On June 19th Uncle Lance & Aunt Barbara came to visit, another beautiful day with excellent company. Cora served tea out on the deck with her new tea set from Uncle Lance & Aunt Barbara. Cora & Olivia had a great time visiting with everyone and Cora had a wonderful birthday week.
