Olivia is now a year old. Wow! These pictures were from her 1st birthday party on May 9th. It was a fun day, especially if you were a kid. Olivia's cousins Dana, Kai, Kami, Piercen, and Cianna were there to enjoy the beautiful day and play in the yard. The kids all got wet and had lots of fun playing and running around. Olivia obviously enjoyed her first cake!
Olivia has been working on a new tooth, so far she has 3. I'm hoping that explains why she has been having trouble getting to sleep. Either that or the full moon? She's starting to behave more like Cora when it comes to not going to sleep!
Cora & Olivia can be so sweet to each other sometimes. They are so precious when they give each other hugs and kisses. Although Cora can sometimes get a little carried away and will squeeze a little too long for Olivia's taste. Olivia can hold her own with Cora more now, she will sometimes push Cora aside when she's in her way. I suppose younger siblings learn to stand up for themselves.
Olivia likes to pat me on the back when I hold her. She will pat me on the back, lay her head on my shoulder while giving me a hug, then lift her head up to give me a kiss. She also likes to pat her dolls when she carries them. We call them "love pats." Cora told me a few nights ago while we were going to sleep, "I'm so glad you're my mommy." These are moments I treasure.

After our time spent in Santa Cruz, we met up with Grandma Sandy, Grandpa Tim, Aunt Christine, Aunt Lorri, and cousins Kai, Kami, Piercen, & Cianna at Pajaro Dunes. Cora, Olivia, Grandpa, and I spent the afternoon at the beach on a beautiful day. Cora was very busy playing in the sand and Olivia kept making a bee-line for the ocean any chance she got! She was practically running at the water and had a great time splashing in the waves! Olivia got pretty wet and sandy, and she made sure that I got wet as well! We had a very nice time playing with cousins and Grandma Sandy drove with us on our trip back to Roseville.
